Our Explorer Trips accommodate our guests in either 3 star superior hotels or in our own comfortable dome tents. The tents are comfortably furnished with bedrolls and we provide you with sleeping bags and pillows. There are shared (one between three tents) toilets and shower tents complete with chemical toilets and electric pump showers, as well as handbasins and a towel will be provided for each guest.

Additional camp facilities include camp seating outside each tent as well as tables and chairs for dining. Explorer Trips include all meals either in the hotels you are accommodated in or prepared by your own cook. Breakfast and dinner are always hot and lunch will either be a freshly prepared picnic or lunch in a local restaurant. All water and soft drinks are included and additional drinks can be purchased in the camps. Each camp is staffed and the trips are also led by our experienced Omani Guides who speak a variety of languages. Trips are conducted in 4×4 vehicles, with a maximum of 6 guests in any one vehicle. For our schedule departures we limited the total amount of guests to 12 and accept guests of all ages.

Accommodated in large safari style tents with ensuite shower and toilet facilities or in some of the best hotels around Oman our luxury camping trips provide the perfect blend of luxury and mobility and the perfect way to see the country. The tents are big enough to stand in and furnished with double or two single beds made up with fresh linen, pillows and duvets. Each tent features bedside tables, luggage stands and tasteful Arabic throws. There is an adjoining private toilet and shower tent complete with chemical toilet and elective pump shower. The ‘bathroom tents’ are also equipped with a toiletry stand and complimentary eco-friendly toiletries, and towels are provided.

All meals are included either in the hotels or freshly prepared by our in-camp cook. A hot breakfast and three course evening meal is normally served with either a freshly prepared picnic lunch served from your own hamper, lunch in a local restaurant or a hot meal provided in camp when you are staying in a camp for more than one night. All water and soft drinks are provided, and ‘sundowner’ drinks and drinks with all meals are included. Many people perceive Oman as being simply a desert oasis with nothing on land to see or do. Nothing could be further from the truth and it has a varying landscape from rocky outcrops to lush palm plantation to the sandy deserts. We recommend you take time to visit at least one of the fantastic wadis (dried up river beds – though many have water pools, a great way to refresh yourself in the dry heat) and if you have the time you really cannot afford to miss either a visit to the desert or to one of the many forts.
